Crisis of Confidence…just when things are hotting up!

We all feel less confident at times.

The feeling that we are the only ones “bluffing” their way through life whilst everyone else has some kind of secret manual that we were too lazy to queue up outside Waterstones to buy.  The feeling that maybe everything you think you know is not really as it seems, that all the positive feelings that you have about yourself are merely other people’s perception of you and that you are in fact a skinny little fraud.

Now, I know that much of these feelings can be attributed to far too many drug “experiments” in my early adulthood  late childhood, but the feeling itself is universal (I’ve checked) and crippling for most of us at some point in our lives.

My self-doubt tends to manifest itself around the time that everyone else is busy believing in me.  This is fortunate as other people’s high views of me tend to act as my emotional safety net; however, it is at the same time irritating, as I’d love to enjoy my achievements as much as those around me.

The reason this subject has come to the fore is that, well, things are going rather well at Femme Towers:

I am pleased and proud to announce that after two false starts and much re-working, the website (and company) that I have spent the last six months building, is nearly ready to launch.

Equally as thrilling is that this has led to an opportunity for me to host my own radio show.  I am most excited.  As soon as I have more details, I will of course share them.  For now, I thought I would share the feeling of achievement mixed with much gratefulness for my life and what I have so far managed to cram into it.
